SlideShowPro 1.2.4 is now available in the user section for download. A sneaky bug related to column / row calculation was fixed; album title text field now accepts more than one line of text; album descriptions and titles accept rudimentary HTML tags like break, italic, bold, underline, and list item; and a new "imageClick" event was added that fires whenever a user clicks on a loaded image.

This update is free for all purchasers of SlideShowPro 1.0, and available through the User section. Log in to your account to download.

Veerle has offered a tip on her blog for using Photoshop CS2's Image Processor to batch publish images for SlideShowPro. This is probably an "official" version of the one created by Dr. Bott a while back, which was just as handy, but it's good to see it's bundled into the app now. Thanks Veerle!

Simply point it at a directory of images, enter your album data, and presto -- a formatted XML file ready for load. Check it out by clicking the link above.

The portfolio site for photographer Kristopher Grunert is using SlideShowPro as the "engine" for displaying full-screen original photographs. All of SlideShowPro's visual elements (with the exception of the preloader) were turned off, and Event Listeners were used to create a custom thumbnail navigation. To see it in action, click "Open Menu" in the bottom-left corner of the pop-up window and select either "Published" or "Commissioned". This is a great example of what can be done with a little ingenuity and ActionScript skill. Check it out.
