08.06.08 | SlideShowPro Director 1.2

After more than six months of development and testing, SlideShowPro Director 1.2 is now available in the Account Center.

If you've been following the 1.2 development and beta cycle, you probably know that the key addition to 1.2 is the new API. Now well documented on the SlideShowPro wiki, the API allows you to connect to Director's data and the on-demand image publishing system from outside of Flash. The possibilities are endless and we'll be showing you some examples of what users have already done in the coming days.

Apart from the API, Director has received several user interface tune-ups, including custom buttons, pagination on the albums and galleries index pages, a more functional album content tab and much more. For a full list of the changes, see the version history over at the wiki.

One important note before upgrading to 1.2. You must be running Director 1.1 or later in order to upgrade to 1.2. If you are running a pre-1.1 install, you will need to upgrade to 1.1.9 first, then upgrade to 1.2.
